Restricted courses for Hapag-Lloyd Fleet Management employees only

Course One is designed to provide the necessary information for Dangerous Goods/Hazardous materials employees to meet the General Awareness and function specific training and certification requirements found in Chapter 1.3 of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods or IMDG Code as well as the additional requirements for international shipments under the US Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations .


Module 1 – Introduction to the IMDG Code
                   Classification
                   Structure of the Dangerous Goods List
                   Emergency Response

Module 2 – CTU Placarding and Marking

Module 3 – Documentation

Module 4 – Stowage and segregation

Course length approximately 4-5 hours.


Course Two  is the Additional module for Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Subchapter C requirements  including specific training on use of the hazmat tables / appendices, hazard communication for marking and placarding, shipping papers and emergency response information for international intermodal shipments. 

in addition,  you will be required to review the Dangerous Goods Manual.
